I haven’t been well recently as I’ve been having some stomach problems. Someone suggested I do colon cleanse but I don’t really have any idea what that is so I’ve been checking out a few sites to get some information. I just don’t know if they can be trusted or if they are just trying to sell me something.
Generally I think detoxing is a great idea and I’ve done it numerous times in the past. I guess colon cleansing is just an extension of that or maybe it’s something completely different, I don’t know, but that’s what I was thinking.
I don’t really want to have to take any tablets because I already take lots of vitamins and some other things but I don’t know if I can colon cleanse without taking anything. Some people do colonic irrigation but that sounds not only disgusting but possibly even dangerous.
Albania is a little but very cute country on the Mediterranean, neighbouring Montenegro. This country is one of the less often visited countries in the Mediterranean but that will change before you know it as more and more travellers appreciate its amazing beauty. Albania has exceptional, pure white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are extraordinary. These beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although there are some pebble beaches also. You could if you want lie in the warm dry sun on a mat or hire a sunbed, the decision is yours to make. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and a couple are so remote that you can have the beach all to yourself, even in August.
There are numerous exquisite mountain areas in Albania. These areas in the north are perfect for skiing or hiking and you can also visit at least a few waterfalls and clean lakes in that part of the country. These mountains are brilliant to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture leading to heaps of hip cafes to visit. Albania cities including Tropoja are worth visiting to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
People from Albania are very warm and will be more than glad to present to you their country if you go there.
I had a huge list of things to do today and thankfully I have Remember The Milk to help me keep track of everything I have got to get done.
After another very poor sleep, I got up early and went to the gym. I worked out for 2 hours, 1 hour on the step machine and then 1 hour swimming. The plan is to tire myself out so I might be able to sleep better tonight. Next I went to the organic market near my house and got some great fresh fruit and veges which I then used to cook a tasty lunch.
More shopping in the afternoon as I had to buy resveratrol supplements which I like to use to help me stay young looking, well as much as possible, and some L-Carnitine supplements as well. I’ve never used them before but I’ve heard it can help vegetarians with energy levels and a few other things. While I’m not a vegetarian I am anaemic and seriously lacking in energy so anything is worth a try at this point. Yes, I’m sure being anaemic is contributing to my sleep problems.
Later in the day I say two movies, one Mexican and one from Chilli. A fun day was had. Not it’s time for a warm bath.

I’ve had sleeping problems for years, mainly insomnia but also waking up many times during the night. A couple of years ago I also started walking in my sleep. This seems to be quite strange because from what I’ve read, most people sleepwalk as a child or at least start sleepwalking as a child, not as an adult. I have a few ideas why this is happening as it started after a nasty experience I had, which I won’t go into. I also wake up after having nightmares, which happens a couple of times a week.
I tried taking some herbal remedies for my insomnia. I think it was called valerian or something like that. I tried it for a couple of weeks as I like to give these things a fair go but it didn’t seem to help me to get to sleep or help me to stay asleep during the night. Someone recently recommended acai berry as a treatment but I don’t really see how that could help because it’s just a fruit which is high in antioxidants, nothing else. But I tried it anyway. I’ve been taking it for a few days and no results as yet but it’s still early days I guess.
The plan is to update this blog on a regular basis, as I used to do when I first started posting, with my sleeping patterns. The idea is that I might be able to see a pattern and figure out what helps me to sleep well and what makes my insomnia worse.
