Albania is a very small but adorable country on the Mediterranean, fairly close to Italy. Albania is one of the less popular European countries but that is starting to change as more visitors start to take note of its amazing beauty. It has fantastic, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and bustling, changing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are amazing. These are generally white, sandy beaches except there are a couple of pebble beaches as well. You can if you want spend time in the warm sun on a rug or hire a lounge, the decision is yours to make. A lot of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and some are so quiet that you could possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in during the peak season.
There are quite a few mountainous areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can also view at least a couple of waterfalls and amazing lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are brilliant to view but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are heaps of cool cafes to go to. Albania cities including Saranda are worth spending a few days in to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are very friendly and will be pleased to introduce you to their country if you spend some time there.
