Albania is a relatively small but amazing country in the south of Europe, not too far from Macedonia. This country is one of the less popular southern European countries but that is starting to change as travellers notice its amazing sites. Albania has lovely, white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and bustling, improving cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are exceptional. They are normally white, sandy beaches although there are a couple of pebble beaches as well. You can if you want hang out in the bright sun on a rug or get a bed, the choice is yours. Almost all of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and a number are so quiet that you can quite possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in during peak times.
There are a number of interesting mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you are able to view at least a couple of waterfalls and pristine lakes in that part of the country. These mountains are exciting to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of cool cafes to visit. Albania cities like Elbasan are worth visiting to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.
The Albanian people are mostly warm and welcoming and will be glad to take you around their country if you go there.
