Albania is a relatively tiny but beautiful country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, neighbouring Macedonia. Albania is one of the less often visited countries in Europe but that is about to change as more and more visitors become aware of its fantastic sites. It has gorgeous, white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and happening, improving cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are wonderful. They are mostly white, sandy beaches but there are some pebble beaches as well. You can if you want sit in the hot dry sun on a mat or rent a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. A lot of the beaches are practically untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you can be at the beach alone, even in summer.
There are numerous fantastic mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you are able to view a lot of waterfalls and pristine lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in huge numbers of cool cafes to hang out in. Albania cities like Kukes are worth spending a few days in to see the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are extremely hospitable and will be more than pleased to introduce you to their country if you spend some time there.
