Albania is a tiny but great country on the Mediterranean, neighbouring Greece. This country is quite possibly the least visited European countries but that is slowly changing as more travellers notice its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has wonderful, white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and bustling, changing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are extraordinary. These are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You could if you like lie down in the hot sun on a mat or lease a sun lounge, the option is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign tourists and some are so out of the way that you can possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in in the peak season.

There are plenty of beautiful mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can see many waterfalls and amazing lakes in the region. Those mountains are amazing to view but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture meaning there are huge numbers of hip cafes to spend time in. Albania cities like Kukes are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum.

Albanian people are very welcoming and will be excited to present to you their country if you spend time there.
